Nobody remembers every present they ever got for birthday or Christmas. We remember the ones that were the biggest, rarest, or the ones we were given for a special occasion, like graduation for instance. What we do remember, though, is the jittering feeling we had while pulling on that soft ribbon, and the excitement of every Christmas morning when we see all the colorful presents just waiting to be opened! We would go so far as to ask, if a present doesn’t have a nice ribbon on it, does it still count as a present? 🙂
